QT Installation Guide

The QT Installation Guide will guide you through the initial download steps. This installation guide is for a new computer that has never had QT installed, or a computer that requires reinstallation due to harddrive failure. Remember, QT's Webstart technology checks for updates automatically.

Java Installation Guide

Java is necessary to run QT platforms on you computer. Most new computers come with Java pre-installed, but if yours does not, the Java Installation Guide will direct you through the installation process.

Computer Requirements for running QT software

Operating System

QT requires a PC running Microsoft Windows® 2000, XP or Vista.
QT is also available for Macintosh OSX 10.4.3 or better as well as Linux.

RAM Memory

QT requires at least 320MB RAM. Running multiple programs will require minimum of 512MB of RAM; 1GB is recommended.

Internet Connection

QT requires a 128K or greater internet connection. Broadband connections (DSL, Cable, T1) will improve application performance.

Processor

QT requires a Pentium 800MHz or greater for optimal performance.

Monitor Display

QT requires a color depth of at least 16 bits, and a display size of 800 by 600 pixels.

QT's Webstart technology automatically checks for upgrades and new releases every time you log into the software. When Webstart receives a new software update, it will apply the updated version automatically. You'll be sure and have the most up-to-date release with all new features at the click of a button!
