Jerrod's research specializes in biofuels. He authors both a daily and weekly research piece on the ethanol and biodiesel industries. Jerrod's work has been featured in international publications, and he has been interviewed on regional television and radio.

Jerrod graduated with honors from Buena Vista University with a double major in finance and management. He grew up on a small, diversified farm in West Central Iowa. He now resides in Chicago's South Loop.
